Tuesday, August 25th, 2009Earlier this month, the Federal Trade Commission announced a Public Forum on Proposed Debt Relief Amendments to the Telemarketing Sales Rule. The forum, to take place on November 4, 2009, will discuss proposed rules that seek to combat deceptive and abusive debt relief practices that “purportedly can reduce consumer credit card debt and other unsecured debt,” according to their site.
